Pre Rup, a Hindu temple dedicated in 961 or early 962 in Angkor, Cambodia, is now over 1060 years old. Unique for its temple mountain design and construction from brick, laterite, and sandstone, it was built as the state temple of King Rajendravarman. Its modern name, meaning "turn the body," refers to Cambodian funeral rites, suggesting its significance beyond just being a religious site.
